GARDEN & SOUL

was created in 2002 by John Gerson & Denise Kanyon.
We were landscapers at the time, but the business
soon morphed into creation, production and wholesale
distribution of greeting cards...

Now there's a logical progression, eh?

We now produce several lines of cards -
using our own photos and artwork as well as the art of several local artists: Barbara Cate,
Jane Chermayeff, Chris Hassell, Ann Lovell Rowe, Jennifer Minette Martines and Jeff Babcock.

In 2005 we opened a retail store in Taos, New Mexico. With all these irons in the fire, we realized that the quality of our lives needed our attention. "When was the last time we went for a hike?" Something had to give.

Gradually, we made a decision to shift our focus away from the wholesale side of our business, allowing us to focus on our store, our community and our personal lives. We continue to produce our own lines of cards, which we sell online and in our store. This website focuses primarily on the products we create, but we continually add the work of other artists as we can, such as the art of Ginny Abblett and Jennifer Coniff.

In our store, you will find our own creations along side a huge variety of cards, gifts, stationery, handmade papers, fine chocolates!, books, journals, original art and prints, jewelry, and more.
We strive to dazzle you with choices and with exceptional service. When we aren't working, Linda Flory and Jackie Mahan are there to help in the hunt for the perfect card, wrap a special gift or just connect - person to person....that is what it's all about, after all.
